Design and synthesis of functional nanomaterials:
Picture
We are interested in design and synthesis of nanomaterials using various inorganic elements:

Nobel metal elements:  Cu, Ag, Au, Pd, Pt, Rh, Os, Ir, etc.
Lanthanides: Ce, Pr, Eu, Er, etc.
transition metal elements: Fe, Bi, Mo, W, etc.

Is not it just fun to create and analyze interesting objects?
Development of new bioconjugation techniques:

We explore all the ways we can use organic molecules coating, catalysis, adsorption, etc. to introduce useful and functional properties to the nanomaterials we have manufactured!

Development of new biosensing platforms by using functional nanomaterials will allow to overcome disadvantages of conventional methods. Specifically, we have interested in disease diagnosis sensing platforms and quantitative detection of biologically meaningful molecules.
Multimodal cancer therapy:
Our newly reported and well designed nanomaterials have enormous potential to treating cancer and other diseases. The combination of structural and physicochemical properties of nanomaterials and following surface modification, biomolecule conjugation make possible to highly efficient cancer cell ablation.
